چکیده
Background: Chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection induces the occurence of severe chronic liver disease and metabolic complications. Our goal was to study clinical paraclinical profile patients with at Natioanl Teaching Hospital Hubert Koutoukou Maga Cotonou. Methods: This a cross-sectional descriptive conducted Clinic Hepato-Gastroenterology Cotonou treated patients, from January 1, 2012, October 31, 2018. Results: A total 80 were included in study. The mean age 60.2 ± 10.8 years old extremes 34 84 years. Most subjects surveyed women (62.5%) sex ratio 0.6. Arterial hypertension prevalent history these (61.2%). HCV carriage known for less than 5 70% cases. most represented genotype viral 2 (57.2%). Complications noted 47.5% respondents, dominated by cirrhosis (40%). FibroTest main method non-invasive evaluation fibrosis. Conclusion: In our study, affects mostly women. It is often diagnosed late. Hence, there real need reinforce awareness.

Cryoglobulinemia in patients with hepatitis C
Introduction: Cryoglobulinemia is a kind of immunoglobuline that form in various conditions. These imunoglobulines, precipitate in cold environment and restore to soluble state upon rewarming. Nowadays, strong association between cryoglobulines and hepatitis C has been proposed. Methods: This is a descriptive-analytic study in which we included all documented cases of hepatitis C infection wh...
متن کاملAssociation of IL28B genotypes with metabolic profiles and viral clearance rate in chronic hepatitis C patients.
PURPOSE IL28B genotypes have a strong impact on treatment outcomes of chronic hepatitis C (CHC) and on-treatment viral kinetics. Since metabolic regulation and interferon response are highly integrated, metabolic profiles may play an important role in the link between IL28B genotypes and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection. Thus, the association of IL28B rs8099917 genotypes with metabolic profile...
متن کاملSpontaneous hepatitis C viral clearance and hepatitis C chronic infection are associated with distinct cytokine profiles in Mexican patients
The mechanisms related to the spontaneous clearance of hepatitis C virus (HCV) have been primarily studied in regions where the infection is endemic. Results of prior studies have been extrapolated to populations with low endemicity, such as Mexico. Herein, we determined the cytokine profiles in serum samples from Mexican patients who spontaneously cleared HCV and patients chronically infected ...
متن کاملCHARACTERISTICS AND PREVALENCE OF OCCULT HEPATITIS B VIRUS INFECTION IN PATIENTS WITH HEPATITIS C IN IRAN
ABSTRACT Background: Hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in patients who lack detectable hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) is called occult hepatitis B infection. Such infections have been frequently identified in patients with chronic hepatitis Cliver disease, but their prevalence is not known. Methods: 207 patients with chronic hepatitis C who were HCV -RNA and antiHCV positive were stu...
